How it all began…
In 1937, Ernst Scherzinger turned his vision into reality: designing and building a gear pump that could truly withstand tough conditions. Working as a maintenance engineer at Köpfer, he had spent years dealing with failed pumps in machining centers. Determined to solve the problem, he built a pump that worked – and laid the foundation for a success story that continues today.
Scherzinger today
What started as one man’s solution has grown into a global company with more than 200 employees across Furtwangen, Horb, Aubrey (USA), and Kunshan (China). While our roots remain in gear and vane pump technology, our pumps now keep high-tech vehicles, systems, and processes running worldwide. Our motto says it all: “Scherzinger – Heart of Hightech.”
Today, we are proud to say: Scherzinger produces locally for our U.S. customers. With our site in Aubrey, Texas, we combine German engineering excellence with local availability and support – bringing the best of both worlds to our partners in North America.
Our philosophy
We believe, as Mahatma Gandhi once said: “A customer is the most important visitor to our premises. We are dependent on him. He is the purpose of our work.” At Scherzinger, this philosophy guides us: understanding our customers’ needs, focusing on their applications, and delivering solutions with passion and precision.
Looking ahead
Over the past 85 years, Scherzinger has built market-leading expertise in demanding applications. Whether it’s dry sump lubrication in high-performance sports cars, SCR systems in commercial vehicles, or highly critical processes in chemical and process engineering – we are always there when challenges are tough, environments are extreme, and the answer seems impossible.
At Scherzinger, we live by one principle: “There is no such thing as can’t be done.”
Our mission remains clear: to be the agile, flexible, and reliable problem solver for our customers – always driving innovation, always with heart.
